On behalf of the Organising Committee it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 2015 TEM Conference which will be held in Wollongong on the ancestral lands of the Dharwal people.

The Conference theme – Leading Locally Competing Globally – has been selected to provide an opportunity for ATEM and TEFMA delegates to shine a light on individual, unit and organisational contributions to the communities, towns, cities and regions that they are connected with and to showcase how these local activities enable them to compete globally.

An impressive line-up of keynote speakers is being organised. Turia Pitt, the young female runner who suffered horrific and life-threatening burns when trapped in a fire during a 100 kilometre ultramarathon in Western Australia’s Kimberley is locked in as a keynote speaker.

The Novotel which is located on Wollongong’s North Beach provides a stunning conference venue.

Wollongong is located just 80 kilometres south of Sydney. Travelling to Wollongong can be as fun and adventurous or as quick and streamlined as you like. You can drive directly from Sydney and be here in 80 minutes or take the Grand Pacific Drive and experience coastal rainforests, quaint seaside villages and the 665 metre Seacliff Bridge all on your way to Wollongong. Wollongong is located on Sydney Train’s South Coast Line and commuter trains run at regular intervals. If travelling from the domestic or international airports you can catch a train on the airport line and be in Wollongong in 90 minutes.

Why don’t you drop in and let us show you how beautiful and diverse Wollongong is!
