Pre-Conference Workshop

‘Enabling innovation in your workplace’

Come to Wollongong a day early and kick-start your conference experience with this 3 and ½ hour workshop.

We’re constantly being asked to do more with less. Why not strive instead to do better with less – rather than more? But the big question is how? The answer is by drawing on the great ideas that are bubbling around in the minds of all your experienced and knowledgeable staff! And the best way to do this is to provide an avenue for capturing and implementing those thoughts.

Innovation programs are frameworks designed to capture new ideas, evaluate them, and implement them. They encourage progression of bottom up innovation by empowering staff to introduce their ideas, change outdated processes and become part of organisational transformations. This fast paced workshop will see participants designing an innovation program relevant to their own work unit, section or perhaps even their whole institution. Elements covered include ways to generate, capture, evaluate, select and progress ideas.
