What is the weather like in Wollongong?

How do I get from the airport into Wollongong.
There is no airport at Wollongong. Interstate and International travelers will need to fly to Sydney Airport and then travel to Wollongong via Train, Bus or hire car. For more information, click here.

I have booked accommodation, how do I pay for this?
Your credit card details have been transferred to the hotel you have selected – please confirm this on check in with your hotel. The hotel may take a holding deposit upon your arrival, with the full payment of accommodation being charged upon check out. If you have arrived 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day you may find that you have forfeited your deposit. What is the dress code for the conference?
Casual business attire is suitable for the conference.

Most major banks are well represented, and ATM’s can be found within a short walk from the Hotel Grand Chancellor, please check with your concierge for the appropriate one for you.
Where do I go when I arrive … What time does the registration desk open?
After checking into your hotel, Conference Registration for the TEMC 2015 will take place at the Novotel North BEach. The Registration Desk will will be open from 0700 on Sunday 30 August 2015.
How do I know if I am registered for a social function?
Full registrations include tickets to the Welcome Reception on Sunday 30 August 2015 and the Conference Dinner on Wednesday 2 September 2015. You must have confirmed your attendance to these social functions as part of the online registration process.

Can I bring a partner along to the social functions?
Yes you can, for an additional cost. Guest tickets can be booked when you register online, or through the Leishman Associates office prior to the conference, or at the Registration Desk at the conference venue.
I have special dietary requirements – Will I be served the correct food?
If you have advised the conference managers of any special dietary requirements, the caterers at each function have been told of these. A special table buffet will be set during the day for special diets, if you are unsure please first approach the catering staff at each venue; alternatively the team from Leishmans. At social functions please remind the catering staff as they come to serve you of your requirements. It would be appreciated that if your dietary request relates to a life threatening allergy that you advise the organisers as soon as possible.
Conference Handbook & Name Badge – do I receive one
All delegates will receive a a link to the electronic of the handbook prior to the conference.
All delegates will receive a name badge. It is important that you wear this throughout the conference and social events so that the organisers and catering staff can identify you if required.
Full Conference Papers
Papers will be published on the TEMC website after the conference has concluded.
Will there be internet at the Conference?
Wireless internet will be available throughout the conference venue for the duration of the conference days. Connection details will be provided at registration.
Is there security at the conference?
The members of the conference organising committee and Leishman Associates accept no liability for personal accident or loss or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Neither do we accept liability for any equipment nor software bought to the conference by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party. Please protect your personal property. Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured. Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and do not wear a conference name badge. Advise Leishman Associates Staff if this does occur.
Is there a delegate list?
A delegate list will be available for download via an email sent to all registered delegates as part of the Frequently Asked Questions. Those who have nominated Privacy will not appear on the list.
Use of Mobile Phones
As a courtesy to other delegates, please ensure that all mobile phones are turned off or in silent mode during all sessions and social functions
Entry to the Conference Sessions
It is suggested that delegates arrive at preferred sessions promptly to ensure a seat. If sessions become full then delegates may not be allowed entry.
Speakers & Speakers Preparation Area
All speakers should present themselves to the Speakers’ Preparation area. The exact location will be identified at the Hotel Grand Chancellor. Speakers are encouraged to upload their presentation at least 4 hours before their scheduled presentation time. A technician will be present in the Speakers’ Preparation area during registration desk hours. There will be the facility to test and modify your presentation if required. Please note, even if you are using your own laptop – please check in with the AV tech to ensure compatibility.
I am a Chairperson, what am I required to do?
If you have been invited to act as a Chairperson at the conference, you will be sent guidelines of how to chair the session, together with session times and biographies and introductions of the relevant speakers within your session.
How will I know if there have been any changes to the program?
There will be large programs located close to the meeting rooms. Additionally the Chairperson of each session will be made aware of any program changes.
Photographs, videos, recording of sessions
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker.
